Jobs for West Tennessee Graduates is a national youth model program designed to train high school seniors to successfully make the transition from school to careers. The school-to career model is a partnership between employers, schools, workers, communities, government, student and parents.

Hands-on training and learning from a competency based curriculum help students see the connection between what they learn today and the application of learning in the workplace. Job shadowing and work based learning projects are strongly encouraged. At the end of training, students have the necessary skills to compete and obtain quality employment. Follow-up activities by the job specialist are provided to track on-the-job progress or transition into higher education.

The program is administered in participating school districts with funds from the State Dept. of Education and WIA. It is our intent to expand programming in the near future.
