Job Corps
Job Corps is a program that offers
economically disadvantaged young people, ages 16 through 24, education and
training for careers.
Almost 70,000 students each year are
helped through this program.
You would travel to and live at a
residential training center.
You would have the opportunity to get a
G.E.D. or high school diploma.
You would have the opportunity to learn a
trade.
The program is self-paced, but you should
expect to spend about a year learning your skills. Studies show that
students who remain in the program until graduation are able to be placed
in better jobs at better starting wages.
